I feel like Saul in Ocean’s Eleven when they’re all looking at the cameras showing the millions of dollars in the vault: “That is the sexiest thing I have ever seen in my life.” 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 Seriously, that looks REALLY nice – well done!!!
FWIW, there’s one thing I’ll share just because I’ve learned this the hard way: if they’re not going to put actual curtains/blinds up, I would recommend they invest in solar shades that can be programmed to automatically rise/lower at certain times (ideally relative to sunrise and/or sunset) to help reduce the sunlight coming in through those windows.
The solar heating/thermal aspect is bad enough, I cannot overstate how fast sunlight will cause significant UV damage to just about anything: wood, laminate, composite, foam, tape, plastic…you name it. A few months of daily sunlight will start causing fading, brittleness and pilling like you wouldn’t believe.
Check out “Yoolax motorized blinds” on Amazon to get an idea of what I’m talking about; there’s a zillion different styles/options to meet whatever desire the client has.
David; Thanks! Our wiring guy, Mike does top notch work!
Aaron; They eventually did install manual blinds for the morning show. The windows face east and north, so the worst time of day was between 7 and 10 depending on the time of year. I will keep the motorized blinds in mind for the future, however. Thanks for the link!
Nice looking install!
