Below that is the backup antenna for <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WEPN-FM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WEPN-FM<\/a> (98.7 MHz), <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WGHT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WQHT<\/a> (97.1 MHz) and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WFAN-FM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WFAN-FM<\/a> (101.9 MHz).&nbsp; I had to use the facilities there, the interior is like a way back 80&#8217;s time machine, which is kind of cool.&nbsp; If I owned a radio station, I would go for the 70&#8217;s office decor; dark wood paneling, shag carpets, bright blue bathroom tile and avocado green appliances, but hey, that&#8217;s just me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/WNSH-backup-antenna.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/WNSH-backup-antenna-650x433.jpg\" alt=\"WNSH backup antenna, WFME-TV antenna\" class=\"wp-image-6354\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/WNSH-backup-antenna-650x433.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/WNSH-backup-antenna-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/WNSH-backup-antenna-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/WNSH-backup-antenna-400x266.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/WNSH-backup-antenna.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">WNSH backup antenna, WFME-TV antenna<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the WNSH backup antenna, mounted on top of a UHF slot antenna for <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WFME-TV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WFME-TV<\/a>.&nbsp; There is an LP TV antenna mounted there also, but I don&#8217; t know who it belongs to.&nbsp; Overall, it is an interesting transmitter site on &#8220;First Mountain&#8221; in West Orange, NJ.&nbsp; Also located here, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WFMU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WFMU-FM<\/a>, an old ATT microwave site, now owned by American Tower and several cell carriers.&nbsp;&nbsp; In other words, it is just like most other mountain top transmitter sites, except there is a shopping plaza across the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I gave a listen to the NASH while driving there.&nbsp; For where it is, it seems to have a pretty good coverage area.&nbsp; As for the music, well, I am not sure how a Manhattenite will relate to Tracy Byrd&#8217;s &#8220;I&#8217;m from the Country&#8221; wherein:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Everybody knows everybody, everybody calls you friend<br>You don\u2019t need an invitation, kick off your shoes come on in<br>Yeah, we know how to work and we know how to play<br>We\u2019re from the country and we like it that way<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Being from upstate NY, I get it.&nbsp;
