{"id":1183,"date":"2010-08-04T18:05:47","date_gmt":"2010-08-04T22:05:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/?p=3928"},"modified":"2023-07-09T16:47:00","modified_gmt":"2023-07-09T20:47:00","slug":"fcc-opens-consumer-complaint-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.engineeringradio.us\/blog\/2010\/08\/fcc-opens-consumer-complaint-center\/","title":{"rendered":"FCC opens consumer complaint center"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I found this interesting article in Inside Radio: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insideradio.com\/\/Article.asp?id=1892730&amp;spid=32061\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FCC simplifies complaint process<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is part of the &#8220;Reboot FCC&#8221; initiative which started many months ago. \u00a0While I applaud the FCC&#8217;s acknowledgment that they are essentially a slow, plodding government bureaucracy, saying something about it and doing something about it are two different things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/reboot.fcc.gov\/consumers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Consumer Help Center<\/a> is a website where the public can complain about such things as junk faxes, telemarketers, TELCO billing issues, ISPs, indecent language, and a whole host of other topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My question is, what happens to the complaint, once it is received? &nbsp;I&#8217;d like to hear if anyone has tried this and what the results were. &nbsp;Perhaps they will include a section for reporting IBOC interference on the broadcast band.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I found this interesting article in Inside Radio: FCC simplifies complaint process.
