Clear Channel and the others you mention are indeed hurting, but so is Sirius, as it was trading at 61 cents this morning. Karmazin may in fact lose it as I can't see how he can survive much longer. I don't see the prices of broadcast properties coming down to bargain basement prices just yet. When the stock market tanks again (which I believe it will), then we may see some bargains. There is still a lot of interest out there in buying stations, but the many small operators that have bought them in the last few years have been quite disappointed with their ledgers at years end. Before I would buy a station, it would have to be a lot cheaper than now. P.T. Barnum has said; "There is a sucker born every minute", and that message hasn't gotten through the thick heads of many inexperienced potential broadcast owners.
